Transportation and supply chain management are the backbone of the logistics industry, directly influencing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. In today’s competitive business environment, logistics firms must ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, reliability, and effective coordination across supply chain activities. The research adopts a descriptive research design and collects primary data from 72 respondents using structured questionnaires. Simple percentage analysis was used to interpret the data. The findings reveal that while the company performs well in delivery accuracy, communication, and condition of goods upon arrival, certain areas such as routing efficiency, departmental coordination, and technology optimization require improvement. The study suggests adopting advanced routing systems, strengthening communication channels, upgrading technology periodically, and implementing structured feedback systems to enhance overall logistics performance. The research concludes that effective transportation management and integrated supply chain coordination are essential for achieving operational excellence and sustaining competitive advantage in the logistics industry.
Introduction
Transportation and supply chain management are essential for the efficient movement of goods from manufacturers to customers in the global economy. With the rapid growth of e-commerce and industrial activities, organizations must maintain effective logistics systems to meet increasing customer expectations. Transportation plays a key role in connecting suppliers, warehouses, and customers, and strong transportation performance improves supply chain effectiveness by reducing delays, lowering costs, and ensuring reliable service. However, issues such as vehicle breakdowns, poor road infrastructure, and weak coordination can negatively impact operations.
This study evaluates the transportation performance and supply chain effectiveness of Fast Forward Logistics Pvt. Ltd. The main objectives are to analyze the impact of transportation on supply chain efficiency, identify transportation challenges, evaluate customer satisfaction regarding delivery reliability, and assess the effectiveness of technology adoption. The research follows a descriptive design, using simple percentage analysis to interpret data collected from respondents.
The literature review highlights that digital innovation and supply chain integration play important roles in improving logistics performance. Supply chain effectiveness depends on coordination and communication, technology adoption (such as GPS tracking and route optimization), customer satisfaction, and cost control.
Data analysis shows that most respondents are Sales Executives aged 26–30, and technology upgrades in transportation are mainly conducted annually (48.6%). Many respondents believe poor road infrastructure can affect delivery efficiency, though opinions remain mixed.
The findings indicate that delivery timelines, reliability, shipment communication, and condition of goods are generally satisfactory. However, areas such as routing efficiency, GPS tracking, and interdepartmental coordination require improvement. Although technology upgrades occur regularly, more frequent improvements are recommended.
The study suggests improving transport scheduling, preventive vehicle maintenance, advanced route optimization software, stronger departmental coordination, and enhanced real-time GPS tracking systems to further strengthen transportation performance and supply chain efficiency.

The study concludes that transportation performance and supply chain effectiveness are fundamental to the success of logistics organizations. Fast Forward Logistics Pvt. Ltd. demonstrates strong performance in delivery accuracy, customer communication, and handling of goods. However, improvements in routing systems, coordination, and advanced technology implementation can significantly enhance operational efficiency. By adopting modern logistics technologies and strengthening supply chain integration, the company can achieve higher customer satisfaction and sustainable competitive advantage.
